Green-lipped mussels come from New Zealand waters and they’re another rich source of Omega fatty acids and minerals, as well as vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants and enzymes. 

Green-lipped mussel isn’t only useful for pets that are already suffering from arthritis. Many pet owners use this supplement as a preventative in order to save their pets some pain and stiffness down the line.

In addition to their inflammatory healing properties, these mussels are considered a superfood because they contain a huge variety of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, Omega-3 fats, antioxidants, enzymes, and many more nutrients. You’ve got to love green lipped mussel, even if it does smell a little... well, smelly.

New Zealand green-lipped mussel has been shown to contain omega-3 fatty acids, including eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) and a unique omega-3 fatty acid – eicosatetraenoic acid (ETA) – which interacts in the body with both the cyclooxygenase (COX) and lipoxygenase pathways.

Green-lipped mussel also contains glycosaminoglycans (chondroitin sulphate), glutamine (a glycosaminoglycan precursor), vitamins C and E and antioxidant micronutrients (including zinc, copper and selenium) that can be beneficial in helping to maintain joint health.

Product Details

A supplementary food for dogs and cats. Green-lipped mussels support the formation and regeneration of cartilage and joint lubricant, keep the joints flexible and relaxed, and help reduce pain caused by joint diseases.

Daily Feeding Recommendation

Mix the recommended amount into your dog’s regular food. Long-term use is recommended for best results.

Small dogs and cats (1-10kg) 1/4 teaspoon
Medium dogs (10-25kg) 1/2 teaspoon
Large dogs (25-45kg) 3/4 teaspoon
Extra large dogs (over 45 kg) 1 teaspoon

Package: 180g Net weight. Store in a dry, dark place in the original packaging.

       What Happens When I've Placed My Order?

      • Upon receiving your order, you will receive an email confirmation.
      • We will then pick your order and have it ready for your delivery day (which you can see below).
      • The day of delivery you will receive an email or text with shipping confirmation.
      • Please be in to take your delivery. If you aren't available when your parcel is delivered, the delivery driver will leave a note with instructions on how to pick it up.

      Carnés Natural Delivery

      Carnés Delivery - Point to Door (P2D)

      Wanting to ensure the high quality of our raw food products and make sure that there is no temperature of even packaging damage, we DO NOT deliver in ice cooler bags or via courier. Carnés Natural deliveries will be made in one of our temperature controlled vehicle’s ALWAYS at -15°C to your door.

      Delivery days are city dependant. For deliveries we need a full working day before the order is processed and we use a route planner which calculates the most efficient route for us. This means:

      Monday:

      Nicosia District

      Orders have to be placed before 6PM on Sunday.

      Wednesday: 

      Larnaca - Famagusta District 

      Orders have to be placed before 6PM on Monday.

      Thursday:

      Nicosia District
      
Orders have to be placed before 6PM on Tuesday.

      Friday:

      Limassol - Paphos District 

      Orders have to be placed before 6PM on Wednesday.

      Knowing that everyone's schedules are different and wanting to give everyone the opportunity to order, we created three Time Zones for our deliveries.

      Time Zone 1: 11:00 - 14:00
      Time Zone 2: 14:00 - 17:00
      Time Zone 3: 17:00 - 19:00

      The costs for GAP Akis Express delivery are based on a package up to 5kg. Packages more than 5kg will be charge extra €1.00 per kilo.

      We reserve the right to hold onto to orders if needed due to weather, or waiting for stock to arrive.


      Bank Holidays

      A working day is Monday to Friday, excluding bank holidays. Orders will not be dispatched or delivered on bank holidays. In these cases, orders will be dispatched on the next working day.

      We stand behind our products 100%! We only exchange goods if they are defective or damaged. In circumstances where you consider that a product is defective, you should promptly contact us at info@carnesnatural.com or 700-888-66 with details of the product and the defect.

      Upon receipt of the returned product, we will fully examine it and notify you via email or phone, within a reasonable period of time, whether you are entitled to a replacement as a result of the defect. If you are eligible, we will send you a replacement product.

      - To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.
      - Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error is not returnable.

        Refunds (if applicable) 

        Refunds are only made on a Gift Card. Once your return has been received and inspectedwe will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item and the corresponding amount will be credited to a Gift Card with an expiry date of three months from the date of issue, and will be sent to you by email.

        Exchanges (if applicable)

        You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

        Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

        If you are returning an item, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
