This beef menu contains a purine value of only 14.7mg/100g and is therefore perfect for a low-purine diet.

Dogs with illnesses such as Leishmaniasis, or those who have suffered, or are predisposed to suffer, from urolithiasis (urinary stones) may be advised by a vet to seek a low purine diet. Some breeds of dog require low purine dog food based on a genetic or inherited issue. Dalmatians, for example, have a genetic condition that means they will usually benefit from a low purine diet.

Low purine does not necessarily mean low protein, and a high-quality diet will always help in the prevention and treatment of health issues.

Useful Information

Feed 2-3% of the dog’s or cat's ideal body weight per day, ideally spread over two meals. We recommend a feeding any dogs over the age of 6 months twice a day. Depending on the breed and the age of your puppy, they can move to adult ratios, larger puppies can move over sooner, but still feed puppy rations until they are fully grown.
